Hey Skylar, thanks much it's for competition coming up so I didn't put that information on it. And I hope they like it as much as you did. Oh by the way did you get my message the other day about the water based oils?

Mike, I love your wildlife paintings, and your landscapes too - everything is very nice and has it's own natural beauty, no makeup, no demonstrations, no drama - just as life should be: pure harmony. Wonderful art world, masterful technique, peaceful messages and ideas. Happy painting and success to the competition! I am interested in water-soluble oils too, but found out they don't dry fast  enough as I would like too. I love glazing, but don't have the patience to wait.

Valia,

Thanks you so much for all the nice comments about my work. I too looking into the water base oils for the smell since my 6 yr old paints with me from time to time. Also looking at the GOLDEN open acrylics and will try those here pretty soon.  Ido paint in glazes and since I paint on masonite even with standard oils and alkylds I can usually dry next morning in most cases.

Hey Kit,

thank you too I'll know in a week or so how it goes. I have several states where I'm trying to win the Ducks Unlimited Sponsor Artist for the year. I was chosen for Ohio 2 weeks ago.

Wow I feel like I am right there about to land with them.  Wonderful grouping with a variety of action on the way in.  Hope they rock the judges!

Hello Harry,

Thanks a lot, think it's a keeper. Like you said hope the judges think so to. Been a nice response to the piece.

This is very beautiful.  I like the way the wing spans are all different and the depiction is excellent.  I also think the landscape is very well done to.  I am reminded of David H. Bollman who is the duck stamp sponsor for Ducks Unlimited (Michigan and Wisconsin years past).  Good Luck in the Competition also.

Hello Dania Bree,

thank you very much and this is also for a DU Sponsor Contest and should know soon if I was selected. It was a painting I enjoyed painting and the outcome was pleasing to me. Still some things I might change but overall a nice piece.
