I like this. Nice balance on the warm and cool colors. You don't have a lot of shadow on his face which probably makes it more difficult to portray. The skin tones are great. The brushwork is very energetic and helps to add interest. You have done a very good job of rounding the form on the face in spite of lack of strong shadows. I love the way you brought added interest to the shirt with the colors and brushwork.
Oh yes Margo it was very dificult to portray because of the light on his face. He brought this picture and even though I was reluctant to do it, I gave it a try. The good thing is that I know this person so I only tried to concentrate on his personality to show it on tthe painting. Thanks again. (He was v ry please with the results though)
