acrylic knife painting

Ok ...this is a first attempt at knife painting with acrylics, need more practice all tips and hints welcome :)

Amazing! I love the fact that you are not afraid to experiment with the medium! One of my strongest oil painting was created using pallet knife.

I think working with a knife adds texture and surprising results and it means that you are working with the paint and letting it do a little of its own thing.  A couple of things that might help is that your horizon line should be VERY level if that is water.  You can have more movement in waves if they are visible in the foreground but a water type horizon needs to be level to make it look more real.  Also your dock can have more detail in the foreground and maybe a greater emphasis on perspective but let it lose detail as it get closer to the end of the dock. Excellent fisherman and building area.
