This man - Christopher, his mom and dad are very often at the book store, where I like to go. For many people the connection with the books is their social life. I tried to paint some questions Christopher might have, when sitting at the cafeteria.

Interesting. When I thought about this painting, after viewing it last night, I had it in my mind that Christopher has wings! Maybe the classic style of a Renaissance feel made me think that. Really nice technique.

I have looked at some of your other work. You have a very unique style. I like that you let the head do the talking and the rest of the detail takes a supporting role. It makes me want to sit next to this fellow and strike up a conversation.

Valia - This is quite well done. An unusual composition . I like the pose very much. Very interesting. (The "Rays" might be bordering a bit on cliche, tho.)

Thank you, OP - Christopher's family is sincerely devoted to the Christian religion, and that helps them to live a happy life. Edna, thank you for your compliments and nice words - they animate the painting. Skylar, I am proud of your comment, thank you. I agree about the rays, but needed to put a very clear and easy readable accent. Thank, Paul - I always enjoy your comments. And thank you everyone - I cannot yet get in touch with Christopher to tell him that I uploaded the portrait and about your feedback, but in advance can assure you - he will be exclusively happy, and that will be an magnificent event in his life. Happy painting everyone!

Valia, I love it when you add paintings to the site, and this one is another of your unique and meaningful pieces.  I do know some background on the painting, and I think the devotion to Christianity is very relevant and I think you have shown this beautifully, Valia.  I love your style, your uniqueness and your confidence in yourself as an artist.

Well done My Friend, Sarah

Thank you, Sarah, as you already know, I respect a lot our friendship, and You as a portrait painter! I've just meet Christopher, his mom and dad at the book store, and he is very, very happy, so is the family. They are just nice people and love each other, sometimes happiness could be so simple - like to have wings, thank you Old Paint. Happy painting everyone!

Gene, your name goes with Generous, and you always are - your comments are so sincere and lovely, and you don't keep in track if people do or don't write feedback for you - I consider this very honorable. Thank you for acting this way - that gives peace, harmony and long happy life, because the heart is worries and negative thinking free. Be blessed, and happy painting! Thank you!
