Ronald Reagan

This portrait is dedicated to Ronald Reagan’s upcoming centennial birthday. President Reagan carried forty-nine states two elections in a row plus made plenty of improvement worldwide or throughout the United States of America.

I've been a portrait artist from 1968 and during that time span many different styles, medium, media, colors, techniques or approaches have been tried. Having a portrait look like the person I'm doing it of is first or foremost and after that producing an interesting picture comes to mine. This is another example of my diversity as an artist. If you're interested in seeing other styles simply go to my gallery via the provided link! I hope that you have enjoyed this picture.

Have a great day, Jerry Stith

Really nice, Jerry  Like the color and contrasts  You've caught his personality, too.

This is really a nice one.  I like the soft, almost out of focus look you gave it.  Nice job, Jerry!

Kevin, I'm pleased that you like this digital ballpoint pen drawing. I did a very realistic  black and white portrait of the President and ran it through my computer. Needless to say the colors, texture, style and angle of the face was altered. My realistic picture was changed into an impression, then run through, a fading focus mode till it came out like this!

Many people have never seen a ballpoint pen drawing yet alone one varied via a software program or computer. Combining media or mediums can produce many alternatives within minutes. Fifty hours can go into a portrait and that will drastically be changed within a half hour digitally.

Have a blessed day, Jerry

This is great! I like what you did with the computer. I love to play with my photographs on the computer, never thought to apply it to a painting. Looks kind of fun.

Deborah, I'm pleased to hear that you've played around with some of your photographs with a computer because its a great way to see or learn things. The same goes forth with our artworks because we can post those results on the Web or have prints made up as well. That indicates hard copies!

Cheers and thanks for stopping in, Jerry

Thank you Gene. Ronald Reagan turned around the American country, helped win the cold war, brought down the Berlin wall plus didn't apologize for this nation's greatness, charity or brilliance! Jerry
