Joellen Duesberry created an entier series of paintings "From on High," as she titled the series, and I always thought that was an interesting idea to use for selecting an executing a landscape painting. I tried it out this summer by placing myself on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Hudson River from Rockwood Hall State Park.

I like your style. The brushwork is intriguing and the colors give the sense of a cool day along the river.

I feel as though the camera gave it a bit too much flash though.

This paiinting has the punch of lights and darks the last painting needs, in my humble opinion.  It has a great depth to it.

Kells. Yes, the light hitting the top of the painting puts a fog over that portion of the picture. I'm not very good at taking photographs of my oils.

Johanne: in this case I thought i needed the strong darks to set up the sense of light and space.

Your paintings are mediocre at best, there's nothing remarkable about your talent or subject matter.

 What do I see?

Just another canvas filled with harsh brushwork, green bushes and amateurish looking trees lacking real passion and great talent.

And you are the man who refused to feature an article about my flawless and masterful portraits in American Artist, because as you put it:

"You were not interested in my work"

Here's LAUGHING at you Mr. Doherty
