Oil on canvas 14X18.  This is my son, Tom.  He thinks I made him look way too glum.  His sister thinks I got his personality just right!  I promised him that I would paint him with a smile next time.

Kevin  ..  is he this serious always?  Just kidding, I think you captured an expressive moment very well. The backround shows him well.    Good job.

I like the way you did him here. It feels like somebody that age - the expression is very vivid and specific. Since I'm partial to muted color and grey backgrounds, I  dig those here as well. Tell Tom to quit whining, it's a really nice piece of work. Or, you know, just wait 20 years and he'll reach that conclusion on his own...

Ha, Ha- To paraphrase Tom:  You made me look like I'm pissed, and you over emphasized my bad eye, and you toned down my mohawk....   Who says family only gives you praise?
