Just a quick sketch to break the pace of two large oils I am doing. Not great but done in a day which is a speed record for me.

I like the long lines and flow of the dancer.  Very nice.

I'm with Kevin. Unity of color in the dancer also produces an exciting shape against the darker background.

Gene, I love the colors and the flow of this. When you are working on something intense, it is nice to be able to throw together something quick to get the flow and movement and play with colors. Looks like you had fun with it. Thanks for sharing it.

Hi Gene, Sometimes the simplest execution has  the greatest expression! Beutiful in it's simplicity. Very nice. My sister in Delaware is a dancer & instructor for ballet & jazz impressionistic, she would love this.

Very powerful in color use and composition! I like gradation in the background giving the figurine a 2 dimension look,. Plus, the shadow underneath the figurine shows action. And of the 3 separate colors displaced within the composition compliment each other! Very bold!

My pleasure to compliment your work-
