Betty was a very special friend of mine who passed away this past May.  I decided to do her portrait for her husband as a Christmas gift.  All I can say is that he loved it and so do I.

Jjkky, this is terrific. Bet her husband was overwhelmed. What a special gift.

Thanks Margo!  I didn't get much of a chance to proof it.  I finished it on a Sat. morning and gave it away Sat. night.  This one will be my favorite for quite a while.  She was like a mother to me.  I talked with him last night and he is still talking about it.  She passed away 2 days before their 58th wedding anniversary.  Very special friends.   Jim

Hey - just getting to this party, so I thought I'd comment at the one that had fewer comments. Both of these are beautifully rendered and obviously full of personal feeling. Can't wait to see more!

Thanks Jon, same to you!

Thank you Daniel!  It's just a hobby so only do a few drawings a year.  It roughly takes me about 100 hours to draw a 19" x 24" portrait, give or take about 20 hours.  Thanks for your kind words.  BTW, loved your paintings when I visited your profile.

Thanks Jan, greatly appreciated your WOW!  It keeps me going!
