This was a dream that I had back in the year 2000. I finally felt that I had developed enough within my artwork to paint it this year (2009).  As Sharon stated, he is both the Lion and the Lamb. After my dream, I researched this indepth. After having already read over it without notice, I recently heard a similar description in Revelation from John where he saw the Lamb standing as if slain before taking the seals. I find this very interesting and as Muna stated, it gives great hope.
