Adobe Door

Does the world really need another depiction of an adobe structure?  It's a question for bigger minds than mine...I decided, however, that if I took the plunge that perhaps less is more, so I made a crow quill pen and ink drawing reduced to the essentials, heightened with a dash of color.

Ah! It was an excellent choice, Kisu. I was just skimming through AD and saw this. It caught my eye immediately, because of its simplicity. The compliment of colors is luscious, but what i realy love is that dark crack, just above the door, where the chinking is exposed. I would love to have this hanging in my home, and I'm sure many others would, as well.

Thank you , Don!  I wanted it to feel like 'melting' adobe as much as look like it.   I found out the history of this particular building, and it seems it was a general store in its hey day.  This is a side door rather than the front.
