Really nice work. This is one of those subjects that comes closest to allowing purely abstract composition within the framework of representationalism. I feel like you took advantage of that opportunity, both with the high placement of the stack in the frame, the head room above the stack, and the configuration of the stack itself.

Thank you Daniel for your thoughtful comment! I was going for the meditative aspect of the balanced stones as well as a sense of balance in the composition while still keeping the weight of the stones important. I appreciate your comment!

No problem! It does have a nice balanced feel, and I think you succeeded on the meditative aspect in another way that I didn't think of before - it's a vertical composition. I guess we all learned in Art For Beginners that that tends to up the tension, but the way you blocked in the major forms produces calm instead.
