I would appreciate any constructive critiques of my painting. I began painting again after many years of working as an Art Director/Graphic Designer. So, I'm a little rusty. Thank you.

This is marvelous. I have a special place for dogs, this one really grabs me. Only a Basset can give such a look - you've captured it perfectly. I, too come from the ArtDir-GraArt Bkg. I think it teaches us composition and narrative. Something others struggle with. Also, You use complimentary colors - another tool of the Graphic Artist.

Oh, that expression is priceless. I love the long, face only, format - it adds to his droll-ness and view on life. I think his name, too, is fantastic! Reminds me of a friend's dachshund named Solo .... Sarah
