This is an oil painting on canvas at about life size. It's 60"x40".
Some people have a hard time with nudes but I would like to have an entire wall dedicated to them (but my wife would have a fit!) I love the starkness and honesty of this one.
Thank you! I'm very fond of nudes myself. I'm glad you saw those qualities in the painting; I was aiming for something like that, and, apart from using composition and draughtsmanship, I bleached out a lot of the color and heightened the contrast to give it the stark feeling you describe.
