Prussian Blue over Cerelean with some Payne's Gray thrown in here and there. rusty colors are Quin Gold under Quin Burnt Orange. I have always loved the combination of those compliments. I think I used Burnt Sienna too. Diaz Purple and some hints of Opera. The greens are mixed with the blues and yellow. I tried to keep the darker values surrounding the headlight area so that the eye would focus there..

I have added a light wash of dark across the bottom of the grill, bumper and lower fender to enhance my focal point and provide even more drama to this piece. It worked. I am not a real methodical painter. This only took about six to eight hours for me to do. Thanks for taking an interest in my process....   I think I like it.

Half Sheet done on 300# Arches with mostly Daniel Smith paints.

I like this a lot; I, too, enjoy painting rusted vehicles - they don't seem to receive much love here, so here's mine.  Jim
