Evening Light 11" x 14" acrylic This painting, because of the time of day, is more tonal than I normally paint. I'd love to hear your comments. My reference photo was from a friend and was taken in our neighborhood
Nice diaphanous light coming through the leaves Sharon.
I love it! is really beautiful Sharon
Sharon, the painting has lovely tones and colors. I am making this next comment only because you asked. You have something that looks like pampas grass coming all the way across the front of your painting. While it is lovely on its own, especially in the way that it picks up the light, it blocks the path of the eye into your painting. Perhaps you should consider taking out either all, or part of it, especially on the lefthand side of the painting.
The light is incredible, so warm. Beautiful job, Sharon!
Sharon, another beautiful work. Reminds me of the old masters. Love your work , as always.
Very nice, Sharon.
amazing work very nice
Thanks for all of the great comments, I'm always encouraged. Margo, noted something that I've been debating with myself about. Photo versus good composition. I was working from a friend's photo that she loves and it shows the line continuous across the front. Hoping for a possible sale I opted to leave it the way she liked it. Margo, I think you made a good suggestion though and I usually try to give the viewer and unobstructed entry into the painting.
Lovely colours :)
