16x19 on 93 lb. cold press watercolor paper. It's really more like sketch paper and I use it forsketching and practice. The paper is from a roll and I have to stretch each peice that I cut off. It has an odd feel to the surface not sure why. It's ok paper for practice. Angel statue study. I've read that drawing/painting from cast objects is how the masters taught their students. They knew what they were talking about as I'll be all winter working with this statue. I shouldn't paint after I sketch but I can't seem to not paint. The angel on the right is painted in Burnt Umber only. The one on the left is a palette wash combo color of greenish, grayish with red roses. Just thought I'd share this today.
