"Here's looking at you, Kid" 8.5"x 11" graphite and colored pencil on newsprint paper, 10-20-2012.  This was for a Life Drawing class.  It is a Modified Blind Contour drawing.  I then added the color which my instructor did not want.  OH well, I was nor taking this class for the grade anyway.

Phio, it is supposed to be but it does not look like me.  I did  not get the chin right. Haha.

Very Good Charlie, self portrait is REALLY difficult and you´ve got a nice sense of color

Thanks, Jose.  It is a little dark, I have not found the right combination of  colors to use yet.

Charlie you did an awesome job with this! When I saw this earlier I didn't know what Modified Blind Contour drawing was. I googled it and then tried it using a simple coin.  I had trouble just drawing a round coin!

The other thing, Charlie, that we all have to keep in mind is, this artistic enterprise that we're attempting just takes practice, practice, practice, practice...well, you get my point. Keep stroking, my man.  Jim
