11 X 10.5 Pastel Painting. This is one of many little camps in a shanty town used for hunting, trapping and fishing. It was settled by squatters in the 1930's.  Located along the Hudson River in the city of Hudson. Now owned by the city. It was opened for one day for artists to paint and photograph. A really great experience.  Unsure of the future for these little buildings. Comments appreciated.

What a wonderful little shack......It looks lonely out there! I really like the whole water area, reeds/reflections and shadowing on the shack.

Thank you for the nice comments.  Christina, there were probably about thirty of these little shacks along the river, it was plein aire, so I was a little overwhelmed and I just chose one to paint.

Very good, Laura.  It sounds like a great experience and a wonderful idea for the city to allow the artists to have access to record what could some day be lost.
