Missouri Mule

Graphite and pastel. This is suppose to be a Missouri Mule.  I had made this as a graphite drawing and decided to try out some pastels.  It's somewhat of a mess but maybe I'll do better next time.  I'm not  sure I'm going to like pastels.  They are to me as messy as charcoal.

Thank you, Curtis.  Maybe my  pastels are not of the best quality....I wonder if that would make a difference.  Of course, my  ability to use them probably has more to do with it.

This is very nice.  I have not worked with pastels for the same reason, messy.  But, some day will try it for the experience.

I think you got the shape right - I tried pastels a couple of times & my pictures didn't turn out this good!  By the time I was done, I had more pastel on me than the picture!
