Started and finished today, I think.  Not sure I like it yet.  Painting this fast doesn't really give me the opportunity to connect with my own work.  I like to linger more.

Like songwriters always say. Some songs  write themselves in 10 minutes-

other songs take years and years of toiling. This may be a ten minute song.

just keep looking to see if there is more.

This certainly did feel like a ten minute song, Daniel.  As I look at it this morning, what bothered me about it yesterday is the same today.  The heart rock is way to prominent and contrived, which it was.  Paint it out?  How do I make it more like it belongs in the painting?  Any suggestions?

If you want that to be less obvious, you could bring down it's tonal value for one. Maybe even lessen the contrast of the crack, not quite so dark? Sometimes it helps to start work on another piece, then come back to it with a fresh view. I even hide it so my eyes can see it all at once new after a couple days or so. Then the answers may be more obvious to you. Hope that helps!

Thanks, Daniel.  I will give it a try.

Atmosphere is captured well, I think the heart shape needs to be toned darker and match the surrounding rocks

Very nice, I really like the bold blue color palette you've used.
