This watercolor is painted on a full sheet of handmade paper I got from Twin Rocker in New Orleans. I did not add any sizing or gesso - I painted directly on the raw paper. I worked from several photos of poppies from my back yard in Albuquerque. I did use some liquid mask prior to painting. I have two more sheets of this paper to play with. Matted and framed, this watercolor fits a 28 x 22 inch frame.
