I have always wanted to do a sketch of this gentleman, such a great character, and so here I go...

For those seasoned artists out there feed back is welcome.  Not quite sure if I should go darker in the background.  As always, all comments are welcome.Smile

You did a fantastic job of showing this cowboy's character.  Maybe if the horse closest to him was just a bit more defined it would help to balance the picture.  This is coming from a seasoned art lover's eye and not necessarily a seasoned artist. Could also be my OCD kicking in.  LOL  Still very good as is.  You are doing great.

Thank you for the great comments!  I did end up adding more shadow to the face, I think it works better.  The cowboy is a storyteller, so thank you Tristan!
