My recent watercolor of "Hollyhocks" was painted on 140 lb Arches rough. I soak my paper and then stretch it around a piece of gator board. I use only transparent watercolors with a good deal of wet into wet technique. I protected some areas using liquid mask, removing it just before I finished the painting. Matted and framed, this watercolor will fit into a 28 x 22 inch frame.
