Sharpie permanent marker on 10" x 10" canvas.
I just completed this piece for the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum's Fourth Annual 10 x 10 Benefit Show. All proceeds will benefit the MCA Museum exhibition and educational programs.
Very nice. I love the title as well.. It intrigued me.
Oh my ... Thanks so much guys! You've brighten my day! ... Found the stipple to be a fun avenue I haven't taken in some time : )
Stippling has always intriqued me - after seeing this, I just may have to try it! It's beautiful!
Stippling is great fun ... hee hee, keeps you honest and works your discipline ... a false move and the piece is kind of shot ... there are a few spots that are a bit cloggy on this piece but what was it da Vinci said " Art is never finished, only abandoned" ; ))) Blessing and good thoughts toward a wonderful outcome.
This is just wonderful - actually doubly wonderful since your talent will benefit such wonderful programs! The stippling is very impressive....
Thank you very kindly ... got to keep that flow going ... pay it forward and all ... blessings ; )
I normally see sunflowers drawn or painted in full bloom. Your take on it is so refreshing. The medium also gives it texture and great tonal values.
lovely choice of subject....really nice piece...good luck with the show
Well done! I like the dot technique and composition. Thanks for posting.
Wow! Thanks for all the wonderful input!! I do so appreciate it. I do believe I will be exploring this vein of thing a bit more here ... thinking perhaps a bit of wash might be nice to try in future pieces
Amazing work, really nice!
