Oil colors on canvas done with painting (or palette) knives, 2012, 100x100 cm.

It is advisable to view this painting under "View Full Size" in order to capture the 3D-like texture. The digital photo is taken outside around 10:30 am on a cloudy day. I may reload the painting under different illumination to capture the richness of colors and texture.  Notably the faces are less pale in the real painting.

ANY IDEAS FOR ANOTHER TITLE?

Wonderful Abraham. Today, I noticed some variety of textures within the paint itself. Do you use brushes or scrapers on different layers, or does that just occur from the handling of the knife, and the way a stroke might just happen to have some vibration in it? Also, do you listen to music while you paint? If so, what do you listen to? -Dave

Thank you David for your kind comments. I am glad you noticed the variety of textures within the paint itself. This gives me even a more versatile spectrum of colors within one stroke of the knife. I handle the knife in a such a way that I can achieve a vibration within the applied colors.  You can notice this style also in some of my previous workks from 2011. Your question about the music is interesting.  I listen to music  or just radio programs during the painting process but not always.

I like the way as they are walking,the texture and  brushstrokes moves with them. Great colors, beautiful work!

Abraham, I love the palette knife and texture as well as the color.  Also interesting is how the figures are almost but not quite touching and glancing toward each other but not actually looking. It gives it a tension which adds to the whole vibration going on.

Wow, amazing work. I love the movement and colours and the texture makes me want to touch it, lol. I could tell the 3D-like texture from the thumbnail. ? A little girl talk ??
