Grandson & Runtley

WIP 11 x 14 acrylic

After I painted a portrait for my granddaughter, my grandson wanted one for his birthday.  I took my grandkids to visit my sister in Georgia this summer and they had a wonderful time with all of the farm animals.  My grandson wanted a painting in the ATV with Runtley since Runtley thinks that he should always be in the passenger seat.  This has been a challenge with all of the greens and the ATV being a camouflage color also.  Please let me know if anything doesn't look right with the ATV or any other comments you might have.

Well the real test is what your grandson thinks....and I bet he loves it!  Great use of color.  I would just soften your grandson's eyes a bit.  They kinds hold me in place too much.

Thanks so much Kostadin, love watching your progression on the group portrait.  Gene, Vargamari and Rency your comments are greatly appreciated.  Vargamari, I'm so glad he was wearing a red shirt ;-)  Bruce, thanks, I'm glad you like it.  You are right on about the eyes and I have already softened them.  I showed my niece the painting of her dog and she made a comment that his nose seemed too long so I made changes there also.
