  • Mix skintone in night seen portrait

    Need help from you professional painter ... How to draw skin tone in dark ?I meant how dark background ..or night seen will affect the painting skintone ? Should I add some blue touch to the base mixture of the skins tone? How to make the skin look cooler in dark background? I will appreciate any comment...

  • Just Finished

    I began working in oils just about a year ago. Prior to that, I worked almost exclusively in watercolor. I can't even imagine going back again! You will be able to see this painting in the "Salon International 2010" at the Greenhouse Gallery in April! "Waning Autumn" 12 x 24 Oil...

    David, I think he drags dry paint over an lighter tone transparent underpainting leaving a lot of the underpainting showing through. It is hard to see this kind of detail in the small images on his website. His work has a beautiful soft tonal quality. Happy you posted his name.
