Gerri, thank you for some fun photos. I guess it is not too early to start thinking of Christmas. Do we all want to swop Christmas cards again this year?  I am feeling a bit jet lagged at the moment but hopefully that will soon pass and I can get back into the painting groove again!

Thank you all for commenting so positive about my photos.  I kind of got cut short on pictures to choose from because I was doing my 31 day challenge and when my old computer crashed I lost all my save pictures.  No nealy I am not doing it again this month.  In fact I hope not to hold a brush for awhile.  Going to do some drawing.

I did a little drawing from Geri's great photo of his son's dog, Rigby & wood duck.  What kind of dog is that, Geri?  I didn't do justice to the duck.

RIGBY  6" X 6" CHARCOAL PENCIL ON DRAWING PAPER.

Nealy nice charcoal. Love how you used the lost line on the duck breast  I too am starting on this and it may be a Christmas present if it turns out decent.  The dog is a DEUTSCH DRAHTHAAR.  It is a German breed and is supposed to be a multiple  purpose dog hunting everything from birds to big game.  This is common on European breeds.  The dog had to pass several test in field trials in order to be registered.  He is thinking about training him to be a search and rescue dog.  he uses is daughters as trailing subjects.

Geri thanx for your comments.  Never heard of this breed.  A friend has a Labradoodle that looks similar.  Rigby's a good looking boy.   He'll make a nice Xmas gift.

Nealey you did a great drawing of Rigby. I thought about trying this but don't think I can bring myself to paint the dead duck.  Maybe a stuffed toyBig Smile

Thanks Karen!  Just think of the duck as a study in perspective!
