Hi Everyone,

I'm taking an informal poll on opinions about the best resources for non studio based instruction. I'm relatively new to oil painting, but have a pretty good eye and sketching hand (25 years as an architect). I don't have the option of classes (at least in the traditional sense), but I notice that there is a whole universe of YouTube videos, DVD instructional series, and on-line art schools. Does have anyone have recommendations in each of those areas? My interest at the moment goes mainly to landscape in the Richard Schmidt method / style of painting, but eventually I'd like to try portraiture as well.

Thanks in advance!
