Sarah, nice WC of the sunset. I comes across as a bit dark on my screen.
Nealey, good to see you feel up to drawing again. This is a really good drawing of Gerri's lamp. You obviously understand your geometry! Plenty of contrast and perfect ellipsis!!
Jen C & C's always welcome
Thank you Nealey...been wondering how YOU were feeling. My thumb is less painful ,
feel free to make constructive c/c...no digital alterations please
Nealy you sure can work magic with that pencil. Love it.
C and C always welcomed
Sarah nice WC. I think horse legs are hard to do and you have done well with yours.
Sonia nice pencil drawing. It has a good value range to it and that is what makes it pop.
Sarah your WC's are great. I like how you put the boys face off center rather than being symmetrical which is a tendency we all seem to want to do.
The wine bottle works very well in just the greens. Nice choice.
Jen your still life worked out real well. I like how the BG goes from blue to green to a light olive. I would not have thought to do it that way. The highlights on the fruit and the add a little sparkle. I see we still have a little problem with ellipses but don't we all. The wine bottle being a little crooked isn't so bad. Some of the old hand blown bottles came out that way so you can just say it is a rare old vintage. Good job.
Turps245:He can say "cup of tea!" With quite the proper twang!!
Just curious is that an English twang or an Arkansas twang??? ;)
Sarah your Lilly is reminiscent of some of O Keee's (SP) work
Joe you still life is very bright and cheery. Well done.
Gerri, LOL, the "proper "British twang of course!!
Hello Nealey...or should I say Florence (Nightingale)...lovely version of the lamp.
Hello Geri...many thanks for ALL the nice comments...horses legs are difficult ...they always look far too slender to hold up all that bodyweight.
The green glass...that was a still life after a celebration ...only a half bottle of champagne!
I wondered if anyone would think of Georgia O'Keeffe and the lily! Pleased you did. Watched a documentary on TV a few weeks ago about her life and times.
Hello Jen...thanks for the comment. The painting is very dark...deep blue/purple and some red so it probably did appear just as it was.
