BE SURE TO POST THIS MONTHS CHALLENGE WORK HERE IN THIS THREAD SO OUR CHALLENGES WON'T GET CONFUSED WITH EACH OTHER. IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN THIS MONTHS CHALLENGE PLEASE POST IN THE CHATTER THREAD.
Another posting note: When you post your painting, be sure to “sign” your post with the name that you wish for participants to use when
replying to your post. We are gaining new participants all the time and it is sometimes difficult to remember who posted what. An alternative would be to create a “signature line” that will automatically appear on each one of your posts. (If anyone needs instructions on how to do that, let Sam know and she will send instructions to you.)
Theme for the month of PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS, which gives you a lot of scope. I have converted one photo to black and white so you can see the values as it is a little busy. If you would like me to do any others start a conversation with me.
My challenge paint something you are afraid of or would avoid or add something yellow!

Jen, great photo's, some look like they would be a real challenge and some look very tempting. I hope my work load gets better and I have some time to work on these.

Wow, Jen, some unusual and beautiful photos! Quite a challenge - tackle what we are most afraid of or would avoid! Hmmmm.
Comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated.

Okay. Just for fun - Cat on the Beach - I think I've been inspired by Fred and his bears.
Super photos this month Jen!
Shelley this is an interesting mixed media. What materials did you use for this?
C&C's are welcome.
(No digital alterations please)
Thank you Shelley and I can just visualize a bear in your painting, I started out with the barn photo but I got distracted and this is what I ended up with, 9x8 watercolor

When I seen these two photos (this one and the other one with a cabin) I said those were made for Fred. The rocks are well done as always and a nice pink tinge to the late afternoon sky.
Go on Alex you can do it!
Bonnie, I hope you have time to do one.
Sarah, glad you survived your trip I cannot imagine going on holiday in that weather! Look forward to seeing your work.
Geri, Go for it Gerri. Yes the barns were there with Fred in mind!
Shelly, I loved this reference for the sky so glad you tackled it. Great job. We will have to adopt your cat like we have Fred's bears ,and Jim's frog and Fairy!
Fred, I thought you might like this one. Great work on the mountains and a lovely sky. Nice work.
Marsha and Sammy, I know I replied to you don't know where they went. Glad you like the refs.
Remember guys you can crop and just use a part of the ref you can do it!
