MARSHA
C & C Always Welcome
It takes courage to learn about oneself from one’s failures as well as from one’s successes.
Thank you Alex! I left Aubrey as she was because that was the image in the photo and that portrayal sort of washed out after I added the strong background. I hesitated to change her clothing colors as that would not be true to the original. I think now that I managed the head tilt to an acceptable place, I'm going to go back in and for my own learning, try to bolden her to give her more placement. That will mean changing the colors of her clothing but I'm sure Marsha won't mind. It was fun and considering the level of cabin fever I've had, I needed something out of the ordinary to bring me back to life.
Marsha..I really like your flycatcher! It has such a nice softness to it. Very nice.

C&C's are welcome.

Marsha, nice little flycatcher. I am amazed by how small some of you can work. Beyond me. I like the effect you have in the background, I'm guessing you added some water. I am learning some new birds, we don't have such pretty flycatchers, ours are all brown. I also like the detail and colour on the branch. Nice work. I have some watercolour paper that is smooth, acid free cotton but it is thin 90lb. I purchased for wc pencil as well so am giving it a try now and will see how it works out.
Bonnie C & C most welcome / appreciated

Marsha I like this, like you I'm not used to this mess when painting but it's becoming part of the fun experience
Jen C & C's always welcome
Marsha, I have to hand it to you that you got this flycatcher on such a small support. The drawing and the colors are really nice and you did his feet and perch so well. I also like the colors in the background. It looks like you used some sort of liquid on the background.
Sam/Sammy C & C Welcome

Beautiful painting Sarah

C and C always welcomed
Sarah absolutely gorgious
Sarah, your painting of Aubrey is lovely, particulary the dress. The colors you used for the shadows are perfect and the dress looks light and sheer. Beautiful hair and bow. Wonderful watercolor painting.
Hello all, today while on a conference call, I took the opportunity to create a 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" picture of Marsha's oleander blossom with the only instrument at hand - a pencil. The biggest challenge was getting a contrast in values on smooth paper. But the feeling of pleasure at drawing something when I've been so overwhelmed with other work trumped everything else.
