Hello to all,
Strange name I know, the truth is that I am an artist of words and I like to do everything, draw, paint, digital, photography, and more. I believe in art, and that is why I do it. I also believe that I am a misconception of what the outside world thinks of me, I may be a monster in real life but all monsters don't have to be bad. Not good, just me. Even still thanks for the acceptance, look forward to conversations.
Malice
Malice,
Does "I am an artist of words" mean you are a writer/author, in addition to that which is regularly called art? I am a writer and an artist. I have an agent for my writing. My art work is for me. It's too disruptive to the creative streak in me to do both to sell. Explain how you are a good devil.
Yes, actually, I am both but I freelance both so it makes it even harder on me sometimes too. As for the question about a "good Devil" - I don't recall saying I was good. I do however feel that so called evil is necessary, For instance how would a person know what happiness is without knowing any sadness? What about pleasure versus pain. Things are necessary.
On the side end of it to really give you an example of my perceptions. The Devil of Christianity, is a fallen angel that (in some cases) tempts man and ruler of Hell. - Irony. If all "Bad" people go to Hell. Then wouldn't that be making The Devil a hand of Justice to those that deserve it? Food for thought. Thanks for the comment.
Since God and the devil to me are imaginary, God being the imaginary friend people turn to to help them through, then it all lies within the realm of mythology. But I honor each person's right to believe in what works for them. I have known evil first hand - my brother murdered his neighbors, and it destroyed my family as well as the families of the four people he killed - people we had gone to church with. Evil was the prescription drugs that he took. In his taped confession right after the murders he said, "Religion has ruined my life. I have never had any fun," and he sobbed. Religion was the evil here also. The one I was raised with decimated people's lives. Everything was a sin, and one could never live up to it.
What kind of writing and painting do you do? Fiction, nonfiction, novels, articles? What kind of art? Impressionism, realism....? I paint with acrylics on canvas and write books - two nonfiction and the rest novels.
Believe me when I say - I Know Evil. Far worse than your brother, I am one of them. Understand though that I don't condone those actions but I do however feel that without things like that happening life would be taken for granted. Death is what tells us there is life. The fact that it is unexpected and can occur without you knowing, is what presents the reality of every moment counts.
As for what I write is fiction novels, I also write blogs, and the occasional articles and papers. I work with Raziel Winters on a trilogy to start with and then it can branch to a multi-book series. My art usually deals with my book, so I draw things from it. Characters and such, then I also occasionally paint with acrylics on canvas for scenery and such. Most my art is personal work, but when I am contracted it becomes the Job and I do my artwork, my style, but to their specifications. If you want to read my (or Raziel Winters) work at all then check out my blog - Gods Cross
Malice, I will say that the best lessons I've learned have come from the worst events of my life. Yes, every moment counts, and like I gathered from reading about your writing, you, too, are trying to make a difference with it. Do you have a publisher for your work? I know of two presses that might help, both of them small. Both are through my writing buddy, who goes by the pen name of Blaze McRob. The one press has several imprints. The other is a cooperative press, one he helped found. He used to be a ghost writer. He founded the other one. With the cooperative press, I would have to gain his permission to give you his email address. Blaze writes very dark fiction. It comes from the core of him, he says. He has severe PTS from his war experiences in Vietnam. He writes horror, vampire stuff and the like.
I do not have a publisher - The publishing that me or Raziel are doing are online. Haven't seen much response course, not sure if we could get published other than a small self publish. I am however working on some project which may include a future movie. Although, I am open to talking to others, and getting some networking, Just drop me a line whenever you like.
Here's the link to the web site of the publisher I was telling you about. http://www.blazemcrob.com/ Page down to see the various imprints. You can see about submission some place on the site. I don't write dark stuff, so it's not for me. I also just heard from Blaze and asked if it was okay for me to give you his email address. If so, I don't want to put my email address here, but I could send you to me web site and that point, you could email me, through the contact page and then I could reply with my email address. Or if you have another way I could contact you, that might work.
My thanks, and although I may write dark stuff Raziel Winters is a hopeful writer and I think he helps to balance out a lot of it. But Thanks for the site and I will check it out. Look forward to hearing from you later then.
My friend says it's okay to send you his email address relative to the cooperative. It's bigultraman at aol. com. My first name is Vi, so you can tell him I'm the one who told you about him.
