Hello all,

For pre-fabricated, no-fuss color flame candles, the vast majority of manufacturers simply mix alkali and alkali earth metal salts with paraffin wax during the melting process. First, stearic acid and any non-flame pigments are mixed with an alcohol-based solution containing salts of the desired metal. For example, NaCl or table salt is used for a yellow flame, sodium borate or borax for yellow-green flames, lithium chloride for crimson flames, copper chloride for blue flames, potassium chloride (KCl) for purple flames and calcium chloride from orange flames. Metals and salts can be burned in different ratios to create specific hues but these are the most popular.Once this mixture is prepared, the paraffin wax is melted. When the molten paraffin reaches 190 degrees F, the mixture is added to it. After 10 minutes, the liquid is poured into a mold and a wick is dipped in it.

Thanks and Regards
