Hi Geri, you've gotten good advice from people on how to fine-tune the snowy owl. I can't add to their comments except to say I like it. You definitely chose a piece that is helping you gain expertise with a new medium and the challenge of portraying a white figure in a white background.

lol Thank you Alex. I am going to try another one though. I have the bulk of my Christmas shopping done as of this evening and I'm hoping I have some real time to give to some drawing and maybe even a painting.  Also Alex your sweet little Christmas card came today.

Marsha, lol Thank you too for the compliment on my hand. My daughter said she would model her hand for me to draw so between her pretty hands and my old narly hand I should get another one done by the end of the month.

Geri what color paper did you use?   I think I read it wrong.

Catherine, I love your left hand painting.  The hand is accurate and well drawn.  The face is sooo cute.  I can picture you moving the thumb for it to talk.

Boo hoo, I didn't get any cards from you guys today.  But I did take Jen's idea and put those that I have received on separate shelves and enjoy them each time I walk by.
