Thank you Geri. I'm looking forward to sharing here.
Thank you Joyce. I saw that color backgound used in a watercolor book and thought I would give that color a try.
soft pastels colored pencils first try with either
James, it's always good to hear from you. Also, it's good to see your first work with pastels and CP. Aren't they fun to work with. This is a very nice rendition of a dining hummingbird. The only suggestion I have is that it could use a few more values. More darks and lights to give it some oomph. Hopefully, you'll continue experimenting with these mediums because you handle them well.

Afternoon. night to you all. Been enjoying all the paintngs from this challenge. I really have enjoyed learning rain drops I re-did my leaf picture using the same drawing as the first one to see if I could do the drops again and than I did a flower just for fun.
Joyce, you are becoming a rain drop expert. I'm glad to see your determination and perseverance. Your violet daisy is lovely. More nice rain drops and a really attractive background. I like the way you varied the colors in the background and on the daisy.
Thanks Sam for the comments.
Your water drops are great! I've tried them once and it didn't go so well. I also really like the colors you've used in both of your paintings.
Hi Catherine- Welcome to our little group. We are really happy when someone new joining us. Hope you stay long with us. I love the soft coloring of your Foxgloves flower. It seems you are using watercolor technique very well. Can't wait to see more of your work.
Sandi
C&C are welcome and appreciated.
James- I like your little bird seeking nectar from the flowers. The colors are very pleasant. I think I would call your medium Soft Pastel pencils. If I see the word colored pencils it makes me think of the regular colored pencils. But what's in a name, a rose is a rose, right?
