Hello ... I'm very new to this site and think it's wonderfully inspiring.  Here's one of my pastel paintings (I do hope I can manage to do this!)

Christine—

I like this for a number of reasons. This is a good design and your light and dark values are very good. Also, this is a very convincing scene. The people are very natural looking — they don't look posed and they look like they are reacting to each other.

Don't worry about the all the fine points of picture macking — just keep up the good work.
