50cm x 40cm acrylic on stretched canvas. This is my grandson Mason, quite difficult in acrylics to avoid muddy colours.

I like the painting Paul. I am sure he will treasure it.

I know about the muddy colors-your really have to get off them quick when you mix.

Thanks Papadan, I still rather work with acrylics even though they are not as clean as oils for flesh tones.

Such nice soft skin tones especially considering acrylic. It made me re-visit your site. Do you use a retarder and lots of thin glazes? What's the original size? I'm impressed. Nice work.

Thank you Jay for your comments, I don't use anything but water. Where I can I scrub colours wet in wet but I also wait for drying and apply very thin glazes or washes to tint to the required colours.

The painting is 50cm x 40 cm from an A4 print
