Hey everyone. This is my second or third post. I've been busy and thought I'd stop in. I wanted to share with you something I'm very proud of being a self-taught artist. Alabama wildlife federation just held it's 8th annual flora and fauna juried art competition. My oil painting titled " Standing Watch" , which is a great blue heron won best of show. I also entered another piece titled " Out on a limb" which I wanted ya'll to see. Let me know what you think. Thanks all glad to be back.

Congratulations on the win!  I can completely understand why you won.  These paintings are outstanding on so many levels.  The "Standing Watch" has such a majestic feel to it.  I really love "Out on a limb".  The colors and values are wonderful as well as the comp.  These two paintings really hold my interest.  Once again congratulations:-)
