Fred I don't know about birds but I see a couple of dinosaurs on the one to the left. Now if you can just learn to rhyme you can fill the space left by Dr.Seuss.
While every body is doing hands this month I thought I would give it a try. Although it isn't perfect I surprised myself. The thumb is too far back and the index finger looks a little funny but I am pleased. Its 5x7 6b graphite and white charcoal on blue paper they had at Hobby Lobby on clearance. I did this while I watched the Colts get beat
C and C always welcomed
Geri, I think you did a real good job on this hand. Is it your hand? The nails and the cuticles are so neat.

Yes Sam that is my hand. I like my nails to be a little longer so that the ends of my fingers are protected also I can use them as tools. (My nails are pretty hard) You just caught them when they weren't in too bad a shape and my nails were relatively clean.
Geri, I like your thumbs up jester.
A Gal Named Sam:Geri, I like your thumbs up jester.
Sam you can also turn it sideways and hitch hike.
Hi Geri, very good sketch of your hand! I put mine in that position and the thumb and index finger look right to me. Very realistic, and boy, are hands hard to draw!
Alex

As I said on the other posts, My internet, email in and out has been down for two days.
FRED: I love your little carvings. I needed them for my Santa cards.. you know how I love woody Santa's. you captured the whole gammut with the golf club, pole and board... Your wood burning Pyrography is sooooo amazing as well. Do you use a temperature controller with your wood burner? what kind of tips do you use. I have dabbled a bit in this about 20 years ago. but I got tired of sticky tips. Your work is beautiful and you are truly an amazing artist, a real kind a guy.... what other kinda bugs to you have up your sleeve???? hmmmm Your new painting is another grandious achievement, hooda thunk up a heliopad on top of a strange creature looking mountain adjoined with walkways to another creature type of mountain with living quarters.... I'm saving my old credit cards...
Alex: I simply love your portrait. it is sooo beautiful and soft. like a memory in a dreamy fog. I personally don't know who she is but I will certainly look her up. I'm reminded of a hand painted cameo. beautiful

C & C Always Welcome
It takes courage to learn about oneself from one’s failures as well as from one’s successes.
Geri, great hand, thumbs up kinda job... my 49rs won!!!!!!
kidding aside I've been watching the tv a lot and last night I did this one thinking about those 20 beautiful children and their spirits being lead away by their teacher into the light and a heaven above.
Marsha, how touching your hands painting is. I love the fact that it gets lighter as it ascends - great symbolism. Those innocent babies aren't in pain any more but we still are. Beautiful painting.
C & C's always welcome
Well Marsha...I wasn't crying yet today but after seeing this I had to get a grip. Beautiful.
