Well folks,
I just turned 70 at the end of 2010. I retired as a computer designer at Motorola after about 20 years. Before that I retired with20 years in the Navy.
I have always possessed some art talent and created many drawings, watercolors, and pastel paintings along the way, but wasn't that good. I always looked for perfection in my endeavors, even though I didn't know what that was .
I dug out my art materials about a week ago and enjoyed looking at them. I haven't touched them in 20 years. They are probably antiques by now!! My heroes back then were Leslie DeMille, Dan Greene, Edgar Degas, and other Impressionists. There is a Spanish pastel artist; Jose Fuentetaja that I greatly admire.
Anyway, I am trying to get inspired and as enthusiastic as I can about art again. This forum looks to be a good start.
Thanks to all.
Jim
