I liked yr painting the straight lines command attention. What I think it could use is more gradation of color (lighter in the background and more colorful in the foreground) to show depth.  Your road should get darker as it comes forward, the rest also.

I like the simplicity of the scene. In the distance there is less contrast between the light and dark, more contrast in the front. The background should be grayed and cooler. The foreground will come forward with more vibrant, warmer color and larger brushwork.
