Kells, I use only Isabey mongoose brushes and like them very much.  I buy the filberts.  They don't last a terribly long time but then, it's a natural hair.

I just don't get the 'spring' that I like in pseudo fiber brushes.

Thanks DanaD, I will try them.(if I can find them). I know I can order them through a website like Blick, but for a few brushes, I can save shipping if I wait til I go to the store.

Mongoose! I'm sure there is a good one-liner in this someplace but dang if I can think of it.

I use Raphael Mongoose. Pretty decent brushes. Try www.plazaart.com on-line store. They have walk-in stores in Cincinnati, OH, Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Springs, Baltimore, and Towson, Maryland; Fairfax, and Richmond, Virginia, and Nashville, TN

Cheap Joe's sells the Langnickel Royal Sables .

I've purchased a few of the 5590's, they are the longer flats.

I very much enjoyed using them to paint with oils.

I have a set of mongoose brushes from Rosemary. They are so beautiful I haven't painted with them yet. They are handmade and Rosemary is a really nice lady to top it off.
