I began working in oils just about a year ago. Prior to that, I worked almost exclusively in watercolor.  I can't even imagine going back again!  You will be able to see this painting in the "Salon International 2010" at the Greenhouse Gallery  in April!

Congratulations on the Salon International 2010 for April.  This is so delicate and lovely.  I know what you mean about panels.  Once you start painting on them you never want to go back to stretched canvas.

Nice still life!

I really like how you captured the twisting of the vase...

Jb2, it is so good to see that you got your information back.

Thanks all!

I've painted this vase 3 times now because I just love the way it looks.  I'm patiently waiting for the trees to start flowering so I can paint it again!

Truly an elegant painting.  Having painted in oils for over 30 years, I would say you have mastered the switch from water color (to me very hard and unforgiving) to oil painting.   Your colors are very complementary to each other, the lighting just right.  I love it!
