I am interested in this upcoming WWM but am really clueless about it. The home page doesnt give any information about the event as far as how much it will cost or do I sign up for individual workshops or what? Can anyone fill me in on how these events work?

How to change your address for Artist Daily and your free email subscriptions

If you would like to update your email address you may log in at our member website(s) with exceptions noted * below.

Once you are logged in, click on the “Edit Profile” button next to your user name at the top of the screen. Then under Edit Profile there are three tabs, the middle one is Site Options. Scroll half way down the page to Email Configurations. Under “Private Email” make the update to your email address. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Save” button.

You only need to update your email on one site and all currently subscribed email newsletters will be automatically updated.

If you have previously unsubscribed to a newsletter, it will not be transferred to your new email address and you will need to contact Customer Service to make the update for you.
This update does not change your Interweave Store account log in.

You will need to update the * sites separately.

If you want to update the email address that everyone "sees" on your profile, use the first tab "Profile Options" and change the Public address.

Username changes

Hello All,

Yesterday while our site was down, there was a single sign on process put in place for the Interweave websites, including Knitting Daily, BeadingDaily, CrochetMe, SpinOff and QuiltingArts. What this means is that you will now be able to log on to those other sites with your username and password from ArtistDaily. They are all interconnected.

During this process, each user was identified as unique, so no usernames could be repeated in the whole system. If your username was already unique, then it didn't change. However, if other people on other sites had your username, then you might now see a number at the end of it. You can change your username if you would like, in the profile section of the site. The site will tell you if someone else has that username already, and it wont' allow for repeats. Otherwise, you can change your username to something that is more comfortable for you.

Hopefully that answers your questions, but feel free to let me know if you still have further concerns.

Hi, I haven't been on this site in a while and it looks like they changed everything. You used to be able to look up an article in their archives - i don't see any archives listed at all. I'm trying to find an article writting in the first issue of "Worshops" magazine titled: “Establish Values and Color Will Follow” by Bob Bahr. Is it possible to find this on this site? I don't even see a place to order back issues. Anyone know how this works? Is it possible to see articles from back issues of american artist? I have subscribed for years but don't have all the magazines and would like to be able to look up certain articles...

I pressed medium button, then the subject. It indicated that it was uploading...then NOTHING! What am I missing? HELP!

Could someone please explain how the star ratings are created and how points are accumulated and what they mean?

As for Tags- how are they created? It appears that some are applicable only to a specific painting or artist and can't be used by the general membership. Was that the intent?

I live in Daytona Beach Fl. I am interested in taking figure drawing lessons from a true professional... I currently go to a area art league but really want intense training. I am not interested in tracing, drawing photos of animals or grandchildren. I want a qualified teacher who has experience in drawing the human figure. HELP this is a small town!!!

How to Post Images in the Forums

You can post images in our forums two different ways:

You can upload an images from your desktop
You can link to an image on another web site

The process may seem a bit complex at first, but once you do it once or twice, you'll see that it's actually pretty easy.

Section 1 - Prepare to upload or link to an image

You must first be logged in ... only registered members may post to the forums.
Go to the "Forums" tab and navigate to the forum where you want to post.
Click the "Write a New Post" link.
Type in the subject of the post and the description
In the description area, click on the Insert Media icon
The "Insert Media" box will open.

Section 2 - If you want to upload a file to our web site

Follow the steps in Section 1
Now, from the "Insert Media" window, click the "Upload or select a file..." link.
The "Select Content" window will open and show your personal file folder.
Click the "Browse..." button
This let's you browse your computer and find the file you want to upload. Once you find it, click to select the image, then click "Open." (It may be a little different on a Mac, but it should be pretty obvious what to do.)
You will go back to the "Select Content" window and now notice that there is a file location in the Upload File field.
Click the "Upload File" button and this will upload the file from your desktop to our web site.
You will now see a thumbnail of the image you uploaded to your personal files on our web site. Make sure the image is selected, then click the "OK" button.
Your image will now appear in your forum post

Section 3 - If you want to link to a file on another web site

Follow the steps in section 1.
Open another browser windows and go to the web page where the image is.
Right-click on the image and select "Properties" (The exact look of this and the exact wording may vary a bit from Mac to PC and with different browsers, but you should be able to figure it out).
Find the URL of the image. In Firefox this is called the "Location" and in Internet Explorer it's called "Address (URL)"
Use your mouse and drag to select the ENTIRE URL of the image and copy it (ctrl-c for Windows, cmd-c for Mac).
Switch back to the browser window with our web site ... the "Insert Media" window should still be open.
Paste the image link (ctrl-v for Windows, cmd-v for Mac) into the Media URL field and click "Insert".
A line of code will be inserted into your forum post. When you submit the post or look at the preview of your post, you will see the image being pulled from the other web site.

Section 4 - If you want to link to a file on Flickr

Follow the steps in Section 1.
Open another browser window and go to www.flickr.com (NOTE: You must have a Flickr account and be logged in for the rest of this to work)
Navigate to the page on Flickr where the image is.
Click the "Share This" link in the upper-right corner of the Flickr web page.
Click "Grab the link"
Click on the image link (URL) and copy it (ctrl-c for Windows, cmd-c for Mac).
Switch back to the browser window with our web site ... the "Insert Media" window should still be open.
Paste the image link (ctrl-v for Windows, cmd-v for Mac) into the Media URL field and click "Insert".
A line of code will be inserted into your forum post. When you submit the post or look at the preview of your post, you will see the image being pulled from Flickr.

Section 5 - If you want to link to a file on Photobucket

Follow the steps in Section 1.
Open another browser window and go to www.photobucket.com (NOTE: You do NOT need to have a Photobucket account or be logged in to Photobucket).
Navigate to the page on Photobucket where the image is.
Below the image is a set of links. Click on the one labeled "Direct Link". The URL link will be copied automatically (no need to press ctrl-v or cmd-v).
Switch back to the browser window with our web site ... the "Insert Media" window should still be open.
Paste the image link (ctrl-v for Windows, cmd-v for Mac) into the Media URL field and click "Insert".
A line of code will be inserted into your forum post. When you submit the post or look at the preview of your post, you will see the image being pulled from Photobucket.

Symbol underneath member picture or avatar on blog sites

Does anybody know what those little pawn shaped symbols are for? What do they symbolize? They are under the member avatars on the blog sites -- the sites that show postings and points.
