Jose, I love that you gave the background more color than in shown in the reference photo. His eye is sparkling and the textured paper creates a wonderful effect with your pastels. And, one comment on your "tango" painting ... I'm an older woman - a few more paintings like that and I'll probably have heart failure!

Marsha, you got the best use out of those small paper samples! The daffodils are lovely, and the softening of focus the further away the flowers are is perfect - just beautiful.

I've been off line for two or three weeks hard drive crash and a very bad repair

Alex your flycatcher is beautiful I really like the colors and flowers you have chosen first class

Marsha this floral is gorgious keep it up and you might have to amend your user name a little I still can't do pastels

I forgot I had this little piece for the March Challenge I was playing around with and thought I had posted it but It turns out I didn't...

this is pastel on 3 x 4.24 UArt pastel paper. they sent some samples. tiny ones.... so this was just trying out the Mungyo pastels, I'm still learning how to work with pastels.

Nice bird, Alex. I love the flowers. One last email before they make me turn the phone off. Off to Washington DC. Had to scramble to get the summer clothes out. It's still mild Winter here, so it's the layered look today.
