Very nicely done Geri. The charcoal gives it a vintage look. I have been wondering if you could get copies of charcoal or pastel ptg. because of the powder and would be interested in how it turns out.

Geri, a lovely new piece featuring the flintlock. Perfect to create it in black on tan pastel paper. I can see how a history buff or reenactment hobbyist would want a print of this. Good for you!

Her is a redo of the Flintlock in Jan. challenge. I was commissioned do this as my other one is now owned by someone else.. It is 8X10 charcoal & Cont'e crayon on Strathmore pastel paper. I am taking it down tomorrow and see about getting prints made. If there is that ake much interest in it I might be able to sell some.

My Kayaker picture is still in the hospital. It's pretty sick. I hope to make it better or at least feeling good enough to show tonight so I can post it..

Joyce Lydia, so nice to see your painting of Myers cabin in the January photo challenge. The cabin was built and first occupied in that meadow in the 1800s, and you've captured the look of a historic dwelling. I like the soft colors you used and that you portrayed it at a time when there were no leaves on the trees. Very pretty! Again, so nice to see your post.

Hi Joyce, good for you in taking this on. I agree with everyones comments. I really like the lightness of this piece that references the sunny day. Nice work. Hope you are feeling better, we are now in the last half of the winter and for us that means a lot more daylight which helps everyone feel better.
