Jen I have been interh ested in using colored backgrounds along with the drawig being done in black or some other dark color ahd the hilights done in white after seeing a DeVenci drawing back in the 70's.

Geri, nice pencil drawing of the butterfly. Good idea to use the grey paper for the mid tones. I like to pencil sketch too.

Your Charcoal pencil of the Swallow Tail is lovely without colors. I can imagine how lovely it will be when you add colors in. This drawing has good depth and contrast. The butterfly is detailed nicely. Well done!

Tim, beautiful purple pansies. Nice changes in color and value. The dutch scene is very lovely with really pretty tulips. I love the colors of the tulips. The windmills in the background was a good idea. Well done painting.

Fred, your bridge painting is certainly colorful. The water looks nice and so does the bridge. This looks to have been a fun experiment.

Tim nice work on the violats very soft and delicate. I like the three windmills too, they take you nicely around the painting after you have looked at the Tulips

Tim- Ooh two lovely flowers paintings. I like the purple color but like James I like the Tulip scene more. The Tulips are so sweet and the painting has depth because the windmill structures are receding from front to back. Good job.

Fred- Your colored bridge looks real nice and I like the color scheme. It has the Monet's flavor looking lovely even without the Bears.
