Thank you, my main aim was to capture the character, the feeling i got from the subject when drawing it was a sense of wisdom and pride and i hoped to capture that.

Thanks very much, I sometimes struggle with proportions so im glad that I managed to achieve them, I do find that when I spend too much time thinking about what i am drawing or what I want to draw that I forget to just draw and enjoy the process, I do think my better pieces are the ones without prior planning.

Very good. I always look for the 3 dimensional expression when i see an artwork for the first time. This one has this, as well as good proportions. I dont know if you ever have noticed, but it seems to be the things that are created randomly with out planning that comes out the best.

Thank you, I found myself concentrating on the wrinkles too much and had to hold myself back from overdoing them.

I wasnt quite sure what direction to take with this piece so it is kind of a rushed finish but im fairly happy with the outcome.

This started out as just a quick sketch but is in progress to becoming more of a complete drawing, im still learning about proportions and form and will be starting my first ever art lesson in early january so i will hopefully be posting on a more regular basis to chart my progress and hopefully get some constructive criticism, thanks for looking :).
